CPAC Kicks Off in the Regional Statistical Analysis Contest Event

Central Philippine Adventist College proudly marked its first-ever participation in the 17th Statistical Analysis Contest for College Students on Oct. 15, 2024, held at the RDC Hall, NEDA Building, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.

This event, organized by the Commission on Higher Education Region VI in partnership with the Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. Region 6 Chapter and the Philippine Statistics Authority, featured participation from 29 colleges and universities across the region.

It was part of the 35th National Statistics Month celebration with the theme “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation.”

Representing CPAC were Jereza Joy L. Lastre (BS Accountancy – Level 3), Jhyn Bryndt A. Jumagdao (BS Information Systems – Level 4), and Shine Jeanyl S. Maquite (BSED Mathematics – Level 3).

Guided by their coach, Miss Lucel Agustino, CPAC’s research director and statistics instructor, the team showcased impressive statistical analysis skills. Alongside Miss Agustino were Mr. Ralf Jangit, Bachelor of Science in Information System faculty, and Mr. Noelitu Tuble, Biology faculty, assisting her.

Ms. Agustino emphasized that this experience is a milestone in fostering a strong research culture and analytical prowess among CPAC students.

The event was a tremendous opportunity for the CPAC team to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world statistical challenges, further honing their research skills. However, the contest results will still be on Oct. 25, 2024.

Nevertheless, the CPAC administrators and the faculty congratulated the CPAC team for representing the college with excellence and determination! They look forward to more milestones like this in the future.
