Central Philippine Union Conference (CPUC) administrators brought home significant recognition, securing top awards at the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) Annual Council 2025, held at the division headquarters in Silang, Cavite, Philippines.
The CPUC, an administrative body of the Seventh-day Adventist Church headquartered in Cebu City, was celebrated for its excellence in records management, evangelism, and financial performance.

This accreditation, granted by the General Conference Office of Archives, Statistics, and Research (ASTR), signifies that the CPUC’s records center meets minimum international standards for record-keeping and preservation.
Achieving Level 1 recognizes the quality of their on-site records management, ensuring the proper handling and long-term preservation of both current and historical records. This is critical for administrative continuity and historical integrity.

Earning second place in evangelism highlights the CPUC’s dedicated and effective efforts in spreading the gospel messageโthe core focus of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It reflects a strong, unified mission focus within the union.

This financial award recognizes the CPUC’s exemplary performance in financial stewardship and management. It speaks to the union’s transparency, efficiency, and responsible handling of church funds, which are vital to supporting all its mission.
Furthermore, it also ensures that resources are wisely allocated to advance the church’s objectives.
Pastor Renito Inapan, CPUC treasurer, shared his joy and gratitude to his CPUC family, saying, “I want to express my gratitude to God for the outstanding performance of the CPUC Treasury Department, which earned us second place in the entire SSD based on the SSD Treasury Evaluation Criteria.”
He then mentioned his accounting team in appreciation for their hard work, which has made this achievement possible.
Meanwhile, Pastor Calev Maquirang, CPUC executive secretary, also expressed gratitude to his secretariat team for burning midnight candles to achieve efficiency.
He further stated that the recognition affirmed the improvement, professionalism, and ministry-hearted diligence of the church’s record-keeping.
According to the records, the church membership across CPUC has increased from 212,720 in 2022 to 244,292 by the third quarter of 2025. Churches grew from 1,397 to 1,439, and companies from 548 to 587 within the same period.
Pastor Eliezer “Joer” Barlizo Jr., CPUC president, couldn’t stop praising God for these accomplishments. He continuously expressed his gratitude, making special mention of all the leaders from top organizations down to the churches. He also acknowledged everyone involved in the success of the Harvest 2025 initiative, often concluding his speeches with, “To God be the Glory.โ
