Panimbaya sa Kabuntagon World team from Hope Channel South Philippines celebrated its 11th anniversary at Adventist Academy Cebu in Bulacao, Talisay City, Cebu, on March 22, 2024.

Panimbaya sa Kabuntagon World is one of the flagship programs of Hope Channel South Philippines, recently celebrated for reaching a milestone of one million views.

A local morning show, PSKW, captivates its online audience through engaging discussions, inspiring testimonials, and music. It appeals not only to Adventist members but has also evolved into a spiritual platform that connects with thousands of followers through its digital ministry.

The team blessed the entire Sabbath at Adventist Academy Cebu’s gymnasium with their praise songs, making their presence one of the highlights of the 1st Quarter Care Group Harvest Celebration for the year 2025.

In addition to the harvest celebration, they also graced the culmination celebration of the 42-night online evangelism event, themed “In His Presence.” This evangelistic series featured all the presidents of the missions and conferences under the Central Philippine Union Conference as speakers.

Other notable speakers towards the end of the evangelism series included Pastor Heshbon Buscato, the communication director for the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, and Bro. Jay Salcedo, an international evangelist.

The highlight of the PSKW team’s grand celebration was an evening gospel concert themed “My Story, God’s Glory.” Despite a full day of Sabbath observance, attendees across Metro Cebu filled the AAC gymnasium, many of whom overlooked dinner time since the event started at 5: 30 p.m.

The concert began with musical preludes by AAC Harmonic Ensemble and a soulful solo violin rendition by Dan Carlo Inato, followed by a prayer from Pastor Jomar Compuesto, the field secretary for the Integrated Lifestyle Evangelism, Nurturing, Discipleship, and Retention of the Central Visayan Conference.

Life and Soul Singers rendered the first song, a Cebuano piece titled “Uban sa Kanunay (God is With Us Always). The song is about God’s assurance to be with us through our struggles and difficulties in life.

Pastor Sherman “Bong” Fiedacan, president of Hope Channel Philippines, also rendered a song titled “I Will Go.”

“This song,” he says, “is an inspiration to everyone that we will go and share the gospel.”

A series of songs followed after Pastor Lemmuel Lauron, Hope Channel Central Philippines’ station manager, and Pastor Charles Nogra, president of the Central Visayan Conference, delivered messages.

Pastor Lauron discussed the mission of Hope Channels around the globe, along with the programs offered by Hope Channel Central Cebu. Meanwhile, Pastor Nogra expressed the PSKW team’s joy in celebrating their 11th anniversary, giving thanks to God for His guidance over the past eleven years. He also appreciated the PSKW team for selecting Cebu City as the location for their anniversary celebration.

Johnster Joe Calibod, HSCP studio manager, said during the concert, “We are not here to entertain you. We are here to praise God and thank Him for those eleven years of blessing and guidance for PSKW.”

PSKW team’s songs centered on praises for the Almighty, recognizing His faithfulness and goodness in their lives.

During intervals, most of the team members shared moving testimonials. Their stories highlighted how God’s love triumphed in the face of trials and tribulations, and how God guided them through paths filled with obstacles. The purpose of these stories was to inspire the attendees in their own challenging journeys.

One person shared her experience upon being diagnosed with cancer, while others recounted tragic tales of losing their parents. Another individual spoke about how God denied their prayers and how that denial ultimately shaped their character and faith. Additionally, someone else talked about losing faith in himself, only to later realize that his life had been a blessing to others, as someone accepted Christ because of his influence.

Moreover, Pastor Buscato also shared his story of how God answered a prayer that seemed impossible. Although the wait was long, it was worthwhile in His perfect time.

“God can make things happen in His time, even when they seem impossible. May we all be blessed despite our situations because He has great plans for each of us,” Pastor Buscato said.

Each telling of a story was followed by songs celebrating God’s unfailing love, making the event appealing to the attendees.

The evening culminated in a powerful crescendo of praise and gratitude, leaving the gymnasium filled with a spirit of renewed faith and hope.

The “My Story, God’s Glory” concert served not only as a celebration of eleven years of broadcasting, but also as a powerful reminder that within every personal narrative lies a testament to God’s enduring grace.

The PSKW team’s anniversary celebration became more than just an event; it was a spiritual milestone, a shining hope illuminating the path for all who seek His presence.
