Taculing Ilonggo Seventh-Adventist Church celebrated its 48th founding anniversary on Nov. 29-30, 2024, with the theme "Celebrating Faithfulness."
The celebration began on a Friday night with the presentation of songs by the Adventist Medical Center Bacolod workers.
Doctor Ian Bermeo, vice president for Operations of Adventist Medical Center Manila and guest speaker during the divine service, led the worshippers in an inspiring sermon on the theme "Celebrating Faithfulness."
While His children may doubt God's love, especially when trials are overwhelming and the answer to their prayers seems obscure, they should focus on the thought that He first loved and died for them. "His love is true and sincere," he said.
He went deeper and talked about how His children should respond to His love and faithfulness, care for one another, and uplift each other.
"If you love the church, God is glorified," he added, emphasizing nurturing and the significance of the church's growth.
As the grandson of the late church elder and a member of this church, he recounted memories of his younger days and reflected on his grandparents' legacy as active members of this church.
Moving forward to another celebration's highlight, the reading of the church history followed. It expressed the church's deep gratitude to the pioneers of faith who paved the way for future generations.
In a moment of nostalgia, this history recounted unforgettable stories of faith, the sacrifices and honorable dedication of former leaders, and the efforts of the pioneers who contributed to the church's growth.
Mrs. Teresita Elloran, associate church treasurer, expressed her joy for this year's milestones. "I'm thankful for this year because of the church's improvement. Many souls were brought to the feet of Jesus, and the church members were growing."
The celebration culminated in acknowledging God's faithfulness and abundant blessings, enhanced with musical presentations from the church singing groups.
In response, the church pastor and officers expressed gratitude for the celebration's success, including the presence of former pastors assigned to this church.
Mrs. Lucena Ledesma, one of the church property donors, said she is grateful and happy that the church has reached its 48th anniversary. "As one of the church donors, I thank God for the blessings and for making me an instrument to help in His ministry."
