Samar, Philippines — The Samar Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church conducted simultaneous evangelistic meetings in five locations across Samar, resulting in 75 baptisms.

With more individuals showing interest in accepting Jesus during the simultaneous evangelistic efforts on Oct. 13-19, 2024, this baptism count is expected to rise in the coming days.

In Solsogon, Sta. Margarita, Pastor Antonio Gobi Jr., the president of Samar Mission, delivered powerful messages of hope and transformation. Sponsored by Adventist Hospital Calbayog, the evangelistic effort resulted in the baptism of 23 precious individuals.

Reflecting on this success, Pastor Gobi remarked, "Praise God for these 23 precious children of God who embraced the faith of Jesus in collaboration with Adventist Hospital Calbayog and Calbayog District Brethren. To God be the Glory!"

At the Majacob SDA Church in Tarangnan, Samar, Anthony Pelostratos, Associate Publishing Ministry leader (APML), preached a series of compelling sermons. Sponsored by the Literature Evangelists of the Catbalogan Group, this evangelistic campaign led to the baptism of 20 individuals, moved by the power of the gospel.

Moreover, in Sta. Rita, Samar, at Union SDA Church, Brother Eduardo Ochea, conducted a week-long series of messages about salvation. Sponsored by the local church elders, this effort resulted in the baptism of 17 new members, who have now joined the family of believers.

Furthermore, the churches across Sto. Niño District in Brgy. Balat-guti, Sto. Niño, Samar, also held an evangelistic campaign with Pastor Juby Ablay and the church clerks. This initiative brought nine individuals to baptism, with the district excited about the potential for more commitments in the coming weeks.

The final evangelistic seminar was held at Lawaan SDA Church in Lawaan, Eastern Samar, where Sis. Ruth Gacillos and Pastor Patrick Placiente shared powerful messages of faith. Sponsored by the church clerks, this evangelism saw six individuals prepared for baptism the following Sabbath, bringing the total number of baptisms to an initial 75 individuals. In addition, more are expected to decide to accept Jesus through baptism in the coming weeks.

A Unified Effort for God's Kingdom

The Samar Mission's simultaneous crusades showcased the collaborative efforts of pastors, church leaders, literature evangelists, and sponsors in sharing the gospel.

Pastor Gobi reflected on the importance of these united efforts, stating, "We praise God for the hearts touched by His Word. The work continues, and we are blessed to witness lives transformed for His kingdom."

As the mission looks forward to future evangelistic efforts, these evangelistic efforts serve as a reminder that God continues to bless the work of His people. The Samar Mission remains committed to advancing His kingdom, one soul at a time.
