CEBU CITY, Philippines — Fifty-two people were baptized following the evangelistic series "Mga Sekreto Sa Malipayong Panimalay" (Secrets to a Happy Home).
The En Anthro Batch 1995 alumni of Adventist Academy Cebu conducted the series from April 23 to May 3, 2025, at the Adventist Academy Cebu International Church in Bulacao, Talisay City, Cebu.
The nightly meetings drew more than 150 attendees eager to hear messages on building joyful and spiritually grounded families.
Richard Fernandez, an alumnus of En Anthro Batch 1995 and president of the Adventist Digital Missionaries Association-Masbate, served as the main speaker throughout the 10-day series.
En Anthro Batch 1995 has reunited 30 years after graduating from high school. Their reunion was not just a chance to catch up; they also established a ministry.
One of the key aspects of their activities is sponsoring two scholars each year at the Adventist Academy Cebu. Additionally, they have initiated a program called En Anthro Cares, which provides financial assistance to fellow classmates during times of hospitalization, funerals, and other needs.
Furthermore, they have included evangelistic seminars in their list of activities, and the one held at AAC is their first.
“The Mga Sekreto Sa Malipayong Panimalay" evangelistic series yielded astounding results! We initially anticipated perhaps 20 conversions, but God's hand moved in miraculous ways. Despite facing financial constraints and manpower shortages, 52 precious souls were baptized!” Bro. Fernandez shared.
He also expressed gratitude to the Central Philippine Union Conference, particularly Pastor Eliezer "Joer" Barlizo Jr., the president. He also especially mentioned Pastor Charles Nogra, president of the Central Visayan Conference; Pastor Abel Gutierrez, the executive secretary; and
Ulysses Eullaran, the treasurer.
"We also wish to extend our gratitude to Sir Jonathan Lamorin, Giant Motopro CEO, for the invaluable motorbike donation, and all our generous donors and sponsors. Your support made this incredible blessing possible!”
Organizers credited the success of the effort to the united support of the alumni, church members, and volunteers, expressing joy over the positive spiritual impact and the lives changed through baptism.
