SAGAY CITY, Negros Occidental —Thirty-four individuals were baptized on Feb. 22, 2024, following a week-long Health and Bible seminar held at Hacienda Claudio in Poblacion 2, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

The seminar, held Feb. 17-22, featured nightly messages by Atty. Christian Abenir, director of human resources, legal affairs, and Planned Giving and Trust Services for the Central Philippine Union Conference.

Atty. Abenir's messages centered on "End-Time Messages from Jesus," emphasizing the significance of spiritual readiness and health while waiting for Jesus' return.

Pastor Dullrich Cueva Gilbuena, the district pastor of Sagay District, officiated the baptism ceremony with the presence of the nightly participants and church members across Sagay District, reinforcing the message of hope and transformation.

Organizers under the leadership of Pastor Lester Ivan Amongos praised the faith and dedication of the attendees, the youth, care groups, and the support of the brethren, highlighting the successful outreach of the seminar.

On the final night of the evangelistic event, Jun Argawanon, speaking during a Facebook Live session, expressed his gratitude to the supporting local churches. One of Sagay District members, Argawanon illustrated the importance of collaboration, stating, 'Like the strands of a broom bound together to achieve great things, our unity also allows us to accomplish remarkable feats.

The week-long engagement provided valuable health information and deepened participants' understanding of biblical principles.

The local churches continue to celebrate this momentous occasion while strengthening unity and support among those committed to getting involved in the ministry, especially this year's Harvest 2025 initiative.
