NEMAC District Launches Youth-Led Evangelism, Nurturing Program

News August 11, 2025

MASBATE PROVINCE – The Northeastern Masbate Association of Churches (NEMAC) District recently celebrated the growth of its church membership by baptizing 20 new members.

This event followed two successful evangelistic programs held simultaneously in different areas of the province: one organized by the youth and the other led by the district pastor.

Voice of Youth Crusade in Masbate City

The first of the two events, a Voice of Youth evangelistic meeting, took place from July 27 to August 2, 2025, in Barangay Pawa, Masbate City.

Evangelist Richard S. Fernandez, Adventist Digital Missionaries Association president, conducted the “Happy Family Seminar,” attracting numerous community residents every night.

Supported by the church leaders and members of Batuhan and Pawa Adventist churches, the event concluded with a baptism ceremony on August 2. Fourteen individuals were baptized at Pawa Church, marking a joyful moment for the local congregation.

Nurturing Program and Evangelism Series in Milagros

Simultaneously, Pastor Robert Gedaro, NEMAC district pastor, and his wife Marilyn, along with a team of dedicated youth missionaries, hosted a nurturing program and evangelism series in Milagros.

Running on Wednesdays and Fridays from July 16 to August 9, 2025, the series offered attendees a deeper understanding of scripture, promoting spiritual growth. The program culminated in a baptism service on August 9 at Winter’s Farm Resort in Cayabon, where six individuals made a public commitment to their faith through baptism.

The combined success of these two initiatives highlights the commitment of the church members within the NEMAC District to sharing their faith and welcoming new members.

“We praise the Lord for His amazing grace. While we can spread the message, it is He who works on the heart. It is such a humbling experience to be His instrument in bringing His children out of darkness and preparing them for His return,” Marilyn, Gedaros’ wife, exclaimed as she shared her joy about the outcome.

In response to the Harvest 2025 initiative, an intensive evangelism program initiated by the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, NEMAC has already welcomed 294 new individuals into the Adventist faith since the beginning of the year.
