Thousands of people in the Negros Occidental received free medical and minor surgical care from HISfootsteps Foundation on Sept. 9-10, 2025.
This foundation, in collaboration with the Negros Occidental Conference administration and church members, served the three towns of Negros Occidental: Murcia, Don Salvador, and La Castellana.
HISfootsteps Foundation, a non-profit organization, provides medical and pediatric services, including minor and major surgeries, dental care, optometry, pharmacy services, child feeding, and health education.
This missionary organization was founded in 1991 in Texas, USA, by Dr. Ray and his wife, Dr. Luz Llasos. Dr. Ray explained that they chose the name “His Footsteps” because, as Christians, they understood the importance of following Jesus’ footsteps.
“We started this project more than 20 years ago with my family in the Philippines, then we moved to Africa and to the USA. The reason we are doing this is because we need to serve with passion.”
He further said that this foundation was created to serve and share blessings with our fellow men. We thank God that we can serve the people.”
HISfootsteps Foundation partners with volunteer physicians, nurses, and paramedical professionals from Canada, the USA, and the Philippines, and has reached more than 30 provinces in Luzon and Visayas.
Furthermore, Mrs. Alice Carbonell Tullo, president-elect of the Philippine Nursing Association Foundation, expressed her gratitude to those who participated in this medical outreach program. “When I heard about this medical mission, I decided to participate. I’m glad I’m here.”
HISfootsteps Foundation, in collaboration with its generous donors, provides free medical assistance annually as part of its ministry. They have specifically chosen the Philippines as their mission field.
