Goshen SDA Elementary School in Sipalay City Inaugurates New Building

News June 22, 2025

Goshen Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School officially inaugurated its new school building on June 12, 2025.

With the theme, “Acknowledging God’s Goodness,” the ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony took place in its new location in Mambaroto, Sipalay City.

Attending the inauguration were directors and staff of the Negros Occidental Conference.

The decision to construct new classrooms came as the school, originally situated in Barangay Cabadiangan, recognized the need to expand and adapt to the evolving educational requirements of its pupils.

Thus, this new facility aims to provide an enhanced learning environment for students and accommodate the growing or shift in the pupils’ population.

Pastor Jophone Galanza, NOC president and guest speaker for the event, emphasized the significance of the school and church as representations of God.

“Our house does not represent God. But our church and school do,” Galanza stated, adding, “When we strive to make plans for God, He will allow you to see the fulfillment of His plan.”

Irene Edral, the school head, spearheaded the project in collaboration with the school board and church members.

She expressed gratitude for the collective efforts and financial contributions that made the new building possible. Moreover, she’s thankful they shared her vision for future classroom additions.

On the other hand, Jerelyn Orquesta, NOC education director, also responded, urging attendees to “prepare children not for this world but for the world to come.”

In a social media article, Pastor Ringo Star Forcado, NOC communication director, said, “This newly built classroom is more than just a space for academic instruction; it is a sanctuary for nurturing young minds and hearts in the principles of the Bible and the Adventist faith.

He emphasized the significance of the classroom as a vital place for learning, growth, and, most importantly, the cradle of transformation, shaping students for this world and eternity.
