East Central Philippine Union Conference Seeks Spiritual Renewal in 'Unleashed' Prayer Series

News January 19, 2026

Following the Week of Prayer, which concluded on Jan. 7, the East Central Philippine Union Conference transitioned into another season of spiritual revival: “The Ten Sessions of Prayer,” themed “Unleashed.” This initiative seeks God’s wisdom and guidance for the year ahead and dedicates workers to God’s service and mission.

After a week of spiritual blessings through messages delivered by Pastor Watland Francois, D.Min., who explored topics centered on the theme “Leaders In Times Like These,” ECPUC eagerly anticipates more days of spiritual renewal.

This new series follows a week of deep spiritual enrichment led by Pastor Watland Francois, D.Min., whose messages focused on the timely theme, “Leaders in Times Like These.” Building on that momentum, the ECPUC family anticipates continued renewal through this ten-session journey.

On the opening day, Pastor Ildefonso Baquilabat, ECPUC stewardship director, delivered the message on the opening day, titled “Knowing Jesus as Our Living Savior.”

He outlined three significant points that transform a “routine” faith into a powerful, living experience: the blessings of reading God’s Holy Word, the fruit that comes from it, and the proclamation of a living Savior.

“Without the resurrection, the incarnation has no saving power; suffering leads to no victory, the blood brings no redemption, and the cross offers no hope,” Pastor Baquilabat said.

As the sessions continue, ECPUC workers remain prayerfully expectant, looking forward to a week of deeper consecration and spiritual renewal.
