BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental — Adventist Hospital Bacolod (formerly known as Bacolod Adventist Medical Center) launched an evangelistic campaign from Feb. 2 to Feb. 8, 2025, in Brgy. Sumag, Bacolod City, aimed at promoting health awareness and spiritual growth within the community.
Featuring a lineup of health experts, the campaign highlights the commitment of several department managers to speak on health and lifestyle topics.
The speakers included Luz Casas, manager of the Health and Lifestyle Institute; Anna Grace Uy, manager of the Laboratory Department; Kristine Peñas, manager of the Nurses’ Station 4; Joy Sumilhig, General Duty Supervisor; and Engr. Ferdinand Turbanos, manager of Occupational Health and Safety.
The evangelistic effort also featured gospel messages delivered by head chaplain Hermilo Condes Jr. and assistant chaplain Sherwin Aguilar, who engaged the audience with inspirational talks throughout the week.
As a result of the campaign, 13 individuals from the community were baptized, along with six workers from Adventist Hospital Bacolod who accepted the faith and decided to be baptized.
“This initiative reflects BAMC’s commitment to not only promoting health but also nurturing the spiritual well-being of its staff and the surrounding communities,” Chaplain Condes said.
“Because BAMC takes a holistic approach to services, including physical, mental, and spiritual care,” he added.
The successful turnout and participation in the campaign showed the importance of combining health promotion with spiritual engagement.
