Dr. Kenroy Campbell, a doctor of philosophy and pastor from Jamaica, led the Central Philippine Adventist College students and faculty on a spiritual journey with his sermon series, “Who Am I that God Cares?” The series took place daily from Nov. 18 to -23, 2024, offering attendees a week of profound reflection and inspiration.
Dr. Campbell’s sermon series delved deeper into profound questions of identity and purpose. Each session invited attendees on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual renewal, exploring themes such as ‘Born With A Purpose,’ ‘Created to Serve,’ ‘When Crisis Hard,’ and ‘Don’t Bury My Child.’
Other topics were, ‘Who Do You See?’ ‘Cut It Down,’ ‘Honey, I Am In Love with You,’ ‘Saved at Home,’ ‘Lost at Home,’ ‘Learning to Lean While Traveling,’ and ‘Chained to Jesus.’
By the middle of the week, CPAC witnessed a remarkable response from individuals who expressed their desires to either rekindle or strengthen their relationship with Jesus. Furthermore, at the end of the week, eighteen precious souls decided to be baptized.
In addition to addressing various topics, the speaker facilitated a Question-and-Answer session on Sabbath afternoon. This interactive experience provided the young people with an opportunity to seek guidance, allowing attendees to engage directly with Dr. Campbell and receive personalized advice.
This Week of Prayer has been a transformative experience, as CPAC’s vice president for Student Services expressed, “It has been a joyful and fulfilling experience— this Week of Prayer and Evangelism here at CPAC…18 precious souls have accepted Jesus through baptism.”
Some students faced significant challenges, but through spiritual counseling and earnest prayers, they chose to humble themselves and embrace a deeper love for Jesus.
CPAC continues its mission to be a community where our young people can say, “I meet Jesus here.”
