The Central Cebu District Association of Churches (CCDAC) conducts a Moral Recovery Seminar at the Paradise Garden Pavilion on H. Abellana Street in Canduman, Mandaue City.
Themed “Enlivened,” this week-long evangelistic series commenced on May 18 and will culminate on May 24.
This event, held in support of the unified and simultaneous Central Philippine Union Conference-wide ASI and Ad Pro evangelistic program, draws professionals, entrepreneurs, church leaders, and members for an evangelistic initiative targeting the elite community.
ASI stands for Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries, while Ad Pro means “Adventist Professionals.” Both these organizations collaborate to effectively connect to their respective expertise and workplace and share Christ
Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) and Adventist Professionals (AdPro) are two organizations that collaborate to equip church leaders and members to share their faith in their workplaces and professional networks.
ASI focuses on engaging lay members in various services and industries, while AdPro aims to enhance the evangelistic ministry of Adventist professionals. Both organizations work together to leverage their members’ expertise to spread the message of Christ.
On the other hand, one focus of the seminar is on physical wellness and family health, which are key components of the Adventist lifestyle and moral recovery.
On the opening night, Dr. Grace Avila, a lifestyle medicine advocate, delivered insightful presentations on maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. She shared science-backed disease prevention and longevity strategies rooted in the Adventist health message.
Her sessions also emphasized eating whole foods, avoiding processed ingredients, and prioritizing rest and hydration.
Jade Soreno, a registered nurse, complemented these topics on the second night by stressing the value of daily physical activity, proper body care, and stress management. She demonstrated simple yet effective exercises and encouraged attendees to incorporate fitness into their daily spiritual and professional routines.
Pastor Jemwin Colegado, the district pastor of CCDAC, discussed family values and relationships on the third night. He reminded participants that the home is the first mission field, and true moral recovery begins within the family circle.
“When families are spiritually enlivened, communities are transformed,” he stated.
Pastor Joeper Eurolfan, the nightly gospel speaker, delivered a powerful message during a recent seminar focused on “The Word of God and the Family.” He encouraged attendees to use Scripture as a guiding light for their homes, highlighting its importance as the foundation of a strong, Christ-centered family. Through relatable stories and biblical insights, Eurolfan challenged everyone to incorporate the Bible into their daily lives and relationships.
“Our families will only be enlivened when the Word of God is opened, read, believed, and lived,” Eurolfan said.
Eurolfan previously served as the Dean of the School of Theology at Naga View Adventist College in Bicol and is now undertaking doctoral studies in Old Testament at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies in Silang, Cavite.
As the CCDAC District enters the final three nights of the “Enlivened” seminar, their hearts remain open and expectant that God will work on the hearts of the attendees.
Having been touched by powerful messages on health, family, and faith, the district moves forward—enlivened in spirit, strengthened in purpose, and united in Christ.
