QUIOT, Cebu City — The Cebu City District inducted 26 new Masterguide leaders at the Quiot Seventh-day Adventist Church on Oct. 24, 2025, marking the start of the district’s first Masterguide Training Program.

The successful induction ceremony gathered participants from five churches—Tugasan, Cogon, Quiot, Lagtang, and Bulacao SDA Churches—to officially commit to serving God and the church with dedication, discipline, and purpose.

Pastor Harold Hallasgo, youth director for the Central Visayan Conference, officiated the program and delivered a message emphasizing the critical role of the new inductees.

“The Masterguide program is greatly needed in every church to train leaders who will serve faithfully and guide others toward the work of the Lord,” Hallasgo said.

Masterguide Nestro Pilapil, the program director, thanked the supporting organizations that mentored the aspirants, including the Cebu Masterguide, Capitol Center Masterguide, and Guila-guila Masterguide Clubs.

Cebu City District Pastor Julius Banal commended the dedication shown by the inductees. Banal reminded the newly inducted leaders that true leadership must begin with a heart committed to God.

The program concluded with songs and words of inspiration, emphasizing that each new Masterguide be a shining example of faithfulness and service in the mission field.

One of the mentors said, “The success of this induction ceremony stands as a testament to God’s faithfulness and the commitment of His people to nurture future leaders — ready to serve, lead, and shine for Christ in the mission field.”
