Negros Occidental Conference of Seventh-day Adventists joined in the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Continuing the Legacy of Sending Missionaries on Sept. 21-22, 2024.
Church members from different districts across NOC participated in this two-day event by joining the community outreach program. They distributed books and school supplies to the community to mark the 150th Anniversary of Continuing the Legacy of Sending Missionaries.
This event, despite the scorching heat of the sun, aimed to share their faith and assist those in need.
The church members then divided themselves into strategic groupings to cover wider areas in the distribution. One group distributed 150 detergent soap in the Northern Negros District while another gave out 150 ‘Great Controversy’ books in South Eastern Negros District.
Furthermore, Bacolod Adventist Medical Center Seventh Day Adventist Church from Central Negros District distributed 150 ‘Great Hope’ books in the rural areas under Pastor Ringgo Star Forcado.
Pastor Ringgo Star Forcado is the church pastor of Bacolod Adventist Medical Center Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Jerelyn Orquesta, director of NOC Adventist Possibility Ministries, visited the Kids Kris Foundation, an orphanage operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. During her visit, she donated 150 pencils, 150 notebooks, and 150 ballpens for the orphans.
Pastor Jophone Galanza, NOC president, thanked those who participated in the 150th Anniversary of Sending Missionaries celebration.
“I believe with God’s grace,” Pastor Galanza said, “we will continue to move forward and carry on the legacy of the missionaries who have labored in our territory to spread the message of salvation. I hope each of us will find joy in working for the Lord, our Master.”
